The water crisis in Jackson, Mississippi has been years, even decades in the making. Currently, the residents of Jackson have had a boil water advisory in place for over 40 days, and were left with no water at all for one week due to flooding at the water treatment plant. Although water pressure in households has been restored, the water quality that is being produced is not properly treated yet. The suggestion is to boil the water before use, but the water is discolored, and residents are untrusting if that solution is safe.
