On Monday, February 6, 2023, one of the strongest earthquakes to hit the region in over a century ripped through Turkey and Syria, leaving destruction and debris on each side of the border. More than 17,000 people have died and rescuers are racing to find and assist survivors.

The American Red Cross is working to deliver emergency relief and to get help to those impacted by the earthquakes as quickly as possible. Money raised will enable the Red Cross Red Crescent to provide immediate relief, ongoing recovery efforts and resiliency and preparedness activities in impacted and surrounding areas.
